6/18/25: We received an update today that Grinnell is no longer accepting book donations due to an outpouring of support (over 150 boxes were received as of this week, with more on the way).
We are NO LONGER TAKING DONATIONS. IF anyone knows of a place in need of children's books, please let me know as we'd like to complete the project we started here. I have reached out to other libraries in the state to see if there is a need.

Children ages 6-12 are invited to a "Double Header: Baseball Movie Event" next Friday, June 20, from 1:00-5:00 pm. Themed snacks and crafts all provided. Registration is encouraged for planning, but not required. You can register at: https://forms.gle/NPBHELpsdFJM6m277
“Color Our World” Mini Library Camp (4 and 5 yr olds) met this Tuesday and Thursday.
What a great time exploring colors, doing projects, getting messy with snacks, books, and color scavenger hunt!

Day 4: “Color Our World” Summer Library Camp
The morning session ended their week with art stations, donuts and a breakout room.
The afternoon session also worked at art stations, enjoyed sno cones and a breakout room.

Day 3: “Color Our World” Summer Library Camp
The morning session had a special guest, Jennifer Hanson with PBS. The kids did such a great job staying on task with their projects that they ended each day with watching part of a colorful movie.
The afternoon session had fun finding color in our community with a scavenger hunt and then played with their food as they created candy masterpieces.

Day 2: “Color Our World” Summer Library Camp
The morning session, along with our Story Time families, enjoyed a special performance by Jammin’ Randy.
The afternoon session, along with the teen volunteers, loved creating Van Gogh inspired projects with the acrylic paint markers.
